Help - I am still trying to set up Adobe Visual Communicator to stream live to about 40 teachers. The default is 5 - so only the first 5 clients that log on are able to watch our daily news broadcast live.
I decided to change from Windows Media Encoder to Visual Communicator - looks like I will have to go back to Encoder.
Our district does not want us to use a public site like TeacherTube.
My suggestion for streaming is to use SchoolTube's free live streaming services, but since your district does not want to use a public service, I'm not sure what to recommend. Are they fully aware of what is involved with using a free service like SchoolTube for streaming? Do they know that you control where the live player is located, thus you control who has access to view it? You could place the viewer on a password protected page on your school or classroom website, and choose who has the password.
Anyone else feel free to chime in with suggestions. I just never bothered with streaming other ways, since the SchoolTube option is so easy and best of all free...
