Submitted Question:
What do you use for your lights and greenscreens? I've seen pictures of your studio and you have square lights that seem to give a nice even lighting on people.
Great question-- I just updated my recommendations section for lights and green screens. The professional softbox lights we use are just like umbrellas, that have a single compact fluorescent bulb inside. These run cool, and provide nice outdoor light in the 5000 kelvin range, perfect to use in a VC studio. I even set my camera's white balance to the daylight preset and find that gives a nice v-screen key that stays consistent day after day in the studio.
Best of all, these lights are affordable and easy to setup and takedown when needed. I will devote future episodes of Ask Mr Z Show to reviewing these, and the great cloth greenscreens that come with the stands and hardware to make setup a breeze in any classroom or office space. School TV Made Easy is now an authorized retailer for professional softbox lighting kits and green screen kits. Save even more when buying both kits at the same time.
