I've now produced several separate clips/shows which I want to put together as one show.
I thought that this would be relatively simple, but can't find an obvious way to do this within VC3. Am I missing something?
It's easier than you think. Assuming you've already published out all your separate shows, you will bring those videos back into VC as trays down the timeline.
Workflow:
1. Open up a blank new VC show.
2. Click on browse tab
3. Locate your video files.
4. Drag them up, one by one in order.
5. Use the "Smart Position" feature to space them out accordingly. Right click on the tray and choose Smart Position.
6. Add any extra music, title slides, etc if desired.
7. Publish (note you don't need to bother rehearsing or recording, since there is no camera footage involved).
